The Sheryl Crow Imaging Center at the Pink Lotus Breast Center uses the latest and most advanced digital mammography technology
available. Mammograms are a woman's best defense against breast
cancer, as they can detect the disease in its earliest stages,
often before it can be felt during a routine
breast exam.
As part of our integrative approach to breast
care, our patients receive quick answers, greatly reducing the
anxiety many women feel while waiting for the results of a
mammogram. At the Sheryl Crow Imaging Center, our radiologist can
review your mammograms during your stay so that you don’t have
to wait for answers to arrive by mail.
Our commitment to the most advanced digital mammography
technology is just one more way we put our patients first.
Digital mammograms have proven to find more breast cancer in
women with dense breasts than older, film-based equipment. The
Sheryl Crow Imaging
Center is an exclusive provider of digital
mammography technology.
The American Cancer Society recommends that women obtain a
baseline mammogram between the ages of 35 to 40, and a yearly
screening mammogram after the age of 40. Certain women with
genetic
predisposition or high risk for breast cancer require screening
mammograms earlier than this and at more frequent intervals.

mammogram at the Sheryl Crow Imaging Center.
After a screening mammogram or clinical
breast exam,
some women may have areas of concern which require further
evaluation to determine whether or not a biopsy should be
performed. This will generally include a diagnostic digital
mammogram where our radiologists specifically evaluate the area
of concern in more detail and make an appropriate recommendation
to you at the same time your diagnostic imaging is completed.
You are assured that you leave the Sheryl Crow Imaging Center with a strategic plan of
action.
